Striking a Chord: Diana Chittester Brings Rock and Songwriting to Life in HB’s Middle School and Upper School
- Latest stories
From power chords to original compositions, students in both Middle School and Upper School are thriving under the guidance of visiting artist Diana Chittester, who has been working at HB through a grant from the Ohio Arts Council. Her dynamic presence is energizing HB’s music programs as she works with over 45 students each week.
Whether she’s helping a seventh grade student master a tricky guitar riff or mentoring an Upper School songwriter recording her first song in HB’s recording studio, Diana brings professional insight, warmth, and a passion for music that inspires everyone she works with.
“Diana has enriched our classes so much over the years,” says music teacher Laura Webster. “Her mastery of guitar and expertise in the world of live performance gives our students real-world experience in contemporary music and rock and roll.”
Hathaway Brown is grateful for the support of the Ohio Arts Council. Diana's presence continues to shape a vibrant, relevant, and performance-driven music program—one power chord at a time.
