MASKED exhibition opens at University Park

An exhibition exploring the complexities of “masking” will take place at Penn State Jan. 12 to March 2, in 125 Borland Building, University Park campus. "MASKED" is a collaboration between William Doan, professor of theater and director of the Penn State Arts & Design Research Incubator (ADRI) in the College of Arts and Architecture; Dr. Michael Green, professor of humanities and medicine, physician and bioethicist, chair of the Hospital Ethics Committee, director of the Program in Bioethics, Departments of Humanities and Internal Medicine, Penn State College of Medicine; and Emily Steinberg, lecturer in fine art at Penn State Abington, artist in residence at Drexel College of Medicine, and visual narrative editor for Cleaver Magazine.

Libraries announces 'Through the Woods' Short Stories fall contest winners

The winning selections from Penn State University Libraries Short Stories’ “Through the Woods” fall 2021 contest have been announced, representing five Penn State campuses. Each of the four Editorial Board winners and the People’s Choice winner will receive a $100 Visa gift card. All winning entries, including nine honorable mentions, will be added to the Libraries’ Short Edition short-story dispensers

Kalin Early Career Librarianship appointments announced

Christina Riehman-Murphy, reference and instruction librarian at Penn State Abington Library, has accepted the Sally W. Kalin Early Career Librarianship for Learning Innovations, and Ruth Tillman, cataloging systems and linked data strategist in Cataloging and Metadata Services, has accepted the Sally W. Kalin Early Career Librarianship for Technological Innovations at Penn State.
