The winning writers of Penn State University Libraries Short Stories’ “A Night at the Circus” spring 2021 contest have been announced. Representing five Penn State campuses, the latest writing contest encouraged students, faculty and staff across the commonwealth to submit their best circus-themed creative writing in the form of short stories or poetry.

"Juliana Cragin's subtle and sophisticated visual narrative, 'Memento Mori,' draws the reader into the artist's personal life experience and inner thoughts during the 2020 pandemic lockdown. The Penn State Abington Art Gallery presents "20 for '20," a special exhibition of 20 photographs by students that document, speak to, and reflect the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Itis a projected slideshow and is visible from just outside the glass wall of the gallery to maintain social distancing guidelines through March 19.
Penn State University Libraries invites creative Penn State students, faculty and staff to submit their best circus-themed creative writing to the short stories “A Night at the Circus”-themed writing contest, open for submissions Monday, March 1, through Friday, April 2.
Penn State Abington music students performed an in their concert clothes, distanced and masked, in the Woodland Building parking lot. Their audience for this "moment of community"? Themselves, and a handful of people in cars who were picking up students.
